First phase of Bihar assembly elections today, about 2.14 crore voters in 71 assembly seats in 16 districts will decide the political way forward for 1,066 candidates. 31,380 polling stations are found out for the primary phase. In Gaya, 27 candidates are within the fray during this phase, while rock bottom five are in Barbigha.

According to the committee guidelines , polling are going to be held in the least polling stations following social distance. Thermal thermometer at the centers will check the voters' blood heat , their hands are going to be sanitized and after this, voting are going to be done wearing the globs.On the day of voting, if the symptoms of corona virus were found during a voter, then that voter won't be ready to vote at that point . A token are going to be given to the voter. People living in Corona infected and in Quarantine are going to be ready to choose the last hour of voting within the presence of health officials.

The voting time has been extended by one hour thanks to the Corona epidemic. Now the voting will run from 7 am to six pm. However, voting are going to be done on 3 seats till 3 pm, on 26 seats till 4 pm and in 5 seats till 5 pm.above 80 years aged along side Postal Ballot facility for those above 80 years aged aside from this, sanitizing electronic voting machines, masks and safety material for polling personnel and thermal scanners, hand sanitizers, soap and water are included.

Elections are to be held in three phases for the 243 assembly seats in Bihar. Under this, voting are going to be held for 71 seats on October 28 for the primary phase, 94 seats on November 3 for the second phase and 78 seats on November 7 for the third phase. At an equivalent time, the votes are going to be counted on 10 November.
