Mumbai-based startups Strom Motors, Prateek Gupta and Jean-Luc Abaziu, this globally recognized reverse trip platform provides superior mobility solutions for congested locations in Indian cities. In addition to offering the same stability of a traditional hatchback, the vehicle's weight is reduced in half.
Price : with the strength compared to other vehicles in the segment storm 3 price range at Rs 4 lakh, the Strom R-3 Hyundai Kona (about Rs 23.7 lakh), Tata Tigor (around Rs 9.4 lakh), Mahindra e Verito (around Rs 9.5 lakh) and Mahindra E2 Plus (around Rs.) 6 lakhs).
Strom-R3 Price and Specification : With a top speed of 80 kmph, the vehicle offers a battery range of 200 km on a single charge and a low operating cost at Rs 0.40 per km. End users can charge their cars overnight and start a new day, without worrying that stranded daily commuting is typically less than 50 km. It takes users 3-3.5 hours to fully charge the car with an on-board charger, which requires just 15Amp plug points.
Strom R-3 employs lithium-ion batteries from one of the world's top three suppliers, it claims. Prateek told The Better India (TBI), "You have to cover a distance of 1 lakh km before replacement and with the advanced battery management system you can go up to 2 lakh km."
On average, Indians travel about 15,000 km a year, so you are looking for a battery that will be 5 to 7 years before you need a replacement. Although details of acceleration and battery specifications are not yet available, Prateik says that they have been benchmarked for high-end hatchbacks in the Indian market.
